Creative Minds
Since the boys were little, imagination and creativity were always encouraged in our home. Our living room had many a cardboard box forts, pirate ships, or rocket spaceships. Shopping trips to Costco were always special looking through the mountain of boxes to find that perfect box for the next project. At Christmas Santa always made sure to restock the never-ending need for duct tape. Hours upon hours were spent outside spritzing colored snow, exploring nature, and creating things out of often nothing. This curiosity and ingenuity has remained very much a part of their thinking to this day.
I recently went to say goodnight to one of my boys and I found him laying on his bed reading his book hands- free! He had constructed a contraption allowing him to read without holding his book. Anything to make life easier!! Had to chuckle. Just love his ingenuity, his creative mind, and his willingness to think outside the box!!! We need more thinkers like this in our world.
He may be taking orders-let me know!!
